Account Deletion Policy
This policy explains how to delete your Social Media Agent account, what data is removed, what is retained for legal compliance, and your rights throughout the process.
Overview and Scope
This Account Deletion Policy (“Policy”) describes the process, timelines, and consequences of deleting your account on the Social Media Agent platform. It applies to all individual users, organization administrators, and trial account holders who wish to permanently close their Social Media Agent account and request deletion of their associated personal data.
We respect your right to control your data and your decision to leave our platform. This Policy is designed to ensure that account deletion is straightforward, transparent, and executed in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable privacy regulations.
This Policy operates in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. Defined terms used herein have the meanings assigned to them in those documents.
Who Can Request Account Deletion
- Individual Users: Any registered user may submit a deletion request for their own account at any time.
- Organization Administrators: Account owners and administrators may delete the entire organization workspace, including all associated user accounts, data, and content. This action is irreversible and should only be taken with proper authorization from the organization.
- Team Members: Team members (non-owner roles) may delete their personal user account. Deleting a personal account does not delete the organization workspace or data created within it; that data remains under the control of the organization administrator.
- Authorized Representatives: In cases of incapacity or death, an authorized legal representative (e.g., executor, power of attorney holder) may submit a deletion request on behalf of a user. We may require supporting documentation before processing such requests.
How to Request Account Deletion
You may request account deletion through any of the following methods:
Method 1: Self-Service via Dashboard (Recommended)
- Log into your Social Media Agent account at app.fealtytechnologies.com.
- Navigate to Account Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to the “Danger Zone” section and click Delete Account.
- Confirm your identity by re-entering your password or completing MFA verification.
- Review the deletion summary, which details what data will be deleted and what may be retained.
- Type “DELETE” in the confirmation field and click Permanently Delete Account.
You will receive an email confirmation within minutes.
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to akshats@fealtytechnologies.comwith the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” Include the following:
- The email address associated with your account.
- Your full name and, if applicable, your organization name.
- A clear statement requesting permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
We will verify your identity before processing the request and may ask for additional identifying information.
Method 3: Support Ticket
Email support@fealtytechnologies.comwith the subject line “Delete Account” and include the same information as the email method above.
Response Time
We will acknowledge your deletion request within 2 business days and confirm completion within 30 days of receiving a verified request, in accordance with our obligations under GDPR Article 12 and applicable law.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
4.1 Immediate Actions (upon confirmation)
- Your account login is immediately disabled. You will be logged out and unable to sign in.
- All active sessions across all devices are terminated.
- All connected third-party platform API credentials (YouTube, X, Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram) are revoked and deleted.
- Scheduled but unpublished content is cancelled and will not be posted.
- Your account is flagged for deletion and enters a 30-day grace period.
4.2 Grace Period (Days 1–30)
Your account enters a 30-day recoverable deletion period. During this period:
- Your account is deactivated and not accessible to you or your team.
- Your data is retained in a restricted state and is not processed for any purposes other than potential recovery.
- You may cancel the deletion request by contacting support@fealtytechnologies.com within this 30-day window.
- No subscription fees will be charged during this period.
4.3 Permanent Deletion (After Day 30)
After the 30-day grace period, the following data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our production systems:
- Your profile information (name, email, profile photo, preferences).
- All AI-generated content, prompts, and content history.
- All connected platform credentials and OAuth tokens.
- All analytics and reporting data associated with your account.
- Custom brand voice training data and AI model customizations.
- Team and collaboration data specific to your account.
- API keys and integration configurations.
You will receive a final email confirmation once permanent deletion is complete.
4.4 Backup Purge
Data deleted from our production systems may persist in encrypted, isolated backups for up to an additional 30 days following production deletion, as part of our standard backup rotation cycle. Such backup data is not accessible or used for any purpose and is overwritten as part of regular backup operations. Total maximum retention from deletion request to full backup purge is therefore approximately 60 days.
Data Retained After Account Deletion
We are required by law and legitimate business necessity to retain certain data even after account deletion. The following categories of data may be retained for the periods specified:
- Financial and Transaction Records: Billing history, invoices, and payment records are retained for 7 years to comply with tax laws, accounting regulations, and financial audit requirements (e.g., IRS requirements, UK HMRC, EU VAT regulations).
- Fraud Prevention Records: Where a deletion request is associated with suspected fraudulent activity or active investigation, relevant records may be retained for up to 5 years for fraud prevention and legal defense purposes.
- Legal Hold Data: If your account is subject to active litigation, regulatory inquiry, or a valid legal hold order, we are legally obligated to preserve relevant data until the matter is resolved.
- Security Incident Logs: If your account was involved in or affected by a security incident, relevant log data may be retained for 3 years for incident investigation and regulatory reporting purposes.
- Anonymized/Aggregated Data: Statistical and aggregate data derived from your account usage (e.g., platform-wide content generation volumes, feature usage metrics) may be retained indefinitely. This data does not identify you personally and cannot be used to reconstruct your account or content.
- Content Published to Third-Party Platforms:Content that has already been published to social media platforms (YouTube, X, Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn) is not controlled by Fealty Technologies after publication. Deletion of your Social Media Agent account does not remove already-published posts from those platforms. You must manually remove published content through each platform’s own interface.
All retained data is stored with appropriate security controls and is used only for the purposes for which it is retained.
Organization Account Deletion
Deleting an organization workspace is a more complex process with broader implications. Organization administrators should be aware of the following:
- Team Member Notification: We strongly recommend notifying all team members before initiating workspace deletion. All team members will lose access immediately upon deletion confirmation. We will send an automated notification email to all workspace members upon deletion initiation.
- Data Export (Recommended):Before deleting your workspace, we strongly encourage downloading all content, analytics, and data via the Data Export function in Settings → Data → Export All. Exports are available in JSON and CSV formats. Exports initiated during the deletion grace period will remain available for download for 14 days.
- Active Subscriptions: Workspace deletion will cancel all active subscriptions. Any unused prepaid subscription time is non-refundable except where required by law or otherwise agreed in your Enterprise Agreement.
- Enterprise Agreements: Enterprise customers with custom agreements should consult their contractual terms, which may include specific data destruction procedures, certificate of deletion, and extended data retention requirements. Contact your Account Manager or akshats@fealtytechnologies.com.
Data Portability and Export
Before deleting your account, you have the right to export a copy of your data. Fealty Technologies provides a comprehensive data export feature for Social Media Agent that includes:
- All AI-generated content, prompts, and revision history.
- Publishing logs and records.
- Analytics data and reports.
- Account profile and preference settings.
- Connected platform configurations (API key identifiers, not secrets).
- Team and workspace structure.
To export your data: navigate to Settings → Data → Export All Data. Exports are processed within 24 hours and delivered as a downloadable archive (ZIP) containing JSON and CSV files. You may initiate up to 3 data exports per 30-day period.
Exports remain available for download for 30 days. After account deletion, no further exports can be initiated. If you are unable to export data before deletion, contact akshats@fealtytechnologies.com during the grace period.
Reactivation and Account Recovery
During the 30-day grace period following a deletion request, you may cancel the deletion and reactivate your account by contacting support@fealtytechnologies.comwith the subject line “Account Reactivation Request.” Identity verification will be required.
After the 30-day grace period has elapsed and permanent deletion has been executed, account recovery is not possible. All data will have been permanently destroyed and cannot be restored. A new account may be created using the same email address, but no prior data, content, settings, or subscription history will be recoverable.
Fealty Technologies is not liable for any loss of data, content, or business opportunity resulting from account deletion — whether requested by you, initiated by Fealty Technologies due to a Terms violation, or otherwise.
Deletion Requests Under Privacy Laws
This Policy is designed to satisfy “right to erasure” or “right to deletion” requests under applicable privacy laws including:
- GDPR (Article 17): EU/EEA residents may exercise their right to erasure. We will process verified requests within 30 days and respond to confirm completion. Where legal retention obligations apply, we will inform you of the basis for any data we are required to retain.
- UK GDPR: UK residents have equivalent rights under the UK GDPR. Contact our DPO at akshats@fealtytechnologies.com for UK-specific requests.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): California residents may request deletion of personal information under CCPA. We will respond within 45 days (with one 45-day extension where necessary). We will not discriminate against you for exercising deletion rights. Submit requests at akshats@fealtytechnologies.com or via our designated CCPA webform.
- Other Jurisdictions: We honor deletion rights granted by applicable privacy laws in all jurisdictions where we operate. Contact us to discuss requests under specific regional laws.
Note that account deletion via this Policy constitutes a request for erasure. Separate erasure requests for specific data (without full account deletion) may also be submitted under our Privacy Policy.

We aim to resolve all deletion-related inquiries within 2 business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, EEA and UK residents may escalate their concerns to the relevant supervisory authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, your local DPA in the EU).
